Between Christmas and New Year’s Eve, things are set to get spectacular again at the RuhrCongress Bochum: urbanatix returns from 26 to 31 December 2026 with a completely new show.

Entitled “urbanatix: in the air tonight”, the show takes you on an emotional journey through urban culture. The new production combines world-class acrobatics with parkour, cycling, dance, acrobatics, drama, live music and multimedia projections. This year, for the first time, freestyle skateboarding is also part of the show.

At the heart of the show is the story of a globetrotter who travels through exciting spaces, encountering a wide variety of people, forms of movement and perspectives along the way. It’s about encounters, community and the courage to break new ground. Spectacular action, striking visuals and rousing live music alternate with quieter, more emotional moments.

In 2026, the stage will once again feature numerous international artists and athletes. The line-up includes, amongst others, beatboxer Robeat, freestyle skateboarding world champion Isamu Yamamoto, handstand artist Johanna Gorzellik, walltramp acrobats and other street artists from the Ruhr region.
